Caroline Pernelle

Director of Partnerships, IVADO

Caroline is Partnerships Director for the Institute for data valorisation (IVADO), which aims to be the link between academic expertise and the business needs of organizations. From international corporations to start-ups, IVADO brings together more than 900 scientists working to extract economical and societal value from data from all sources and all forms.

Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in aeronautics from Polytechnique Montréal and a data journalism certificate from the Université de Montréal. Her career began as a consultant at Dassault Systèmes in Montreal working with product lifecycle management tools for North America (Bombardier, Boeing, Cessna, Sikorsky).


Subsequently, she was Solution Architect and Manager for projects related to the deployment of data centralization systems and valuation of data.
It is by working with different groups and accounts in several industries that she became convinced that the accessibility and transformation of data into relevant information is what will enable today’s companies to be more efficient and innovative for the world of tomorrow.


Caroline defines herself as a data-techno-geek who loves to make the data speak and to put forward the potential of the human being.
